Ballroom Time's October 5, 2024 "Fall Ball"

Our Second Annual Autumn Ballroom Dance Gala, (the Fall Ball), will take place in the historic Spanish Ballroom on Saturday evening, October 5, 2024.  Our goal is to establish the Fall Ball as an evening of excellence in music, dance, and fashion at an economical price.

We're pleased to announce that music will be provided by the 15-musician Hotel Paradise Orchestra featuring vocals by Janet Paulsen.  Bringing a large orchestra to our dancers marks a key milestone for Ballroom Time.  Hotel Paradise will be playing a selection of beautiful ballroom music covering a range of dance styles including waltz, foxtrot, tango, samba, quickstep, swing, rumba, cha-cha, mambo and more.  The full Playlist is posted below and formal dance cards will be available at the door.

At the start of the second set, there will be a grand promenade march led by Ranger Stan, an iconic figure in the history of the Spanish Ballroom.  Choose your partner or let fate choose one for you.  Everyone is invited to participate and it's a memorable moment when the dancers face the orchestra as the music crescendos at the end of the march.  We're also planning a mixer or two and a couple of samba line dances during the evening.

Doors open at 7:30. A beginner lesson in foxtrot starts at 8:00 pm.  Live music then plays from 9:00 pm until midnight.

Admission is $40 at the door (cash, check, CC, Zelle). Students and Active-duty Military pay $20.

Bottled water and light desserts will be made available in the lobby during the first intermission.

Members of our All-Volunteer Advisory Committee will fill key rolls during the evening.  Paul Tannous will be on stage serving as Master of Ceremonies.  Carl and Shirley Pavetto will head the lines for the promenade march and lead the samba line dances that play during the evening.  Min Zhang will coordinate our dedicated staff of unsung event volunteers.

Many singles come to Ballroom Time dances. All ages and levels of dance are welcome. Children under the age of 18 should be accompanied by an adult.

We encourage dancers to join our email list to receive the latest news including advance notice of the playlist and special offers, and to request a complimentary customized name tag.  Just send a message to info@ballroomtime.org.

Please support ballroom dancing in the Park by attending this memorable annual event!
