Surprise!...The ONE-DOLLAR DANCE , May 26, 2024 

Please join us in the historic Spanish Ballroom for a special Memorial Day Weekend dance on the afternoon of May 26.  Ballroom Time is turning ONE and we're having a big surprise birthday party... SURPRISE! Pay just $1.00 admission at the door.  That's Ballroom Time's birthday present to all of our loyal dancers.  Doors open at 2:00 pm.  At 2:45 there will be a beginner lesson on ballroom basics with a focus on samba and samba line dancing. Just like last year The Mike Surratt Trio is providing live music starting at 3:30 and going until 6:00.  There will be lots of general dancing plus a special showcase, a mixer or two, some line dancing, and... birthday cake and collations in the backroom.  To stay informed on all the latest details, please join our email list by sending a request to info@ballroomtime.org.  Consider ordering your free Ballroom Time name tag when you send your message. Many singles attend Ballroom Time dances - no partner is required. We anticipate lots of dancers that day, do not miss this event!

Mother's Day Ballroom Dance, May 12, 2024

Please join us in the historic Spanish Ballroom on the afternoon of Mother's Day.  Our theme for the event is "Bring Mom to the Park!".  Moms get in free that day if accompanied by a child who pays an admission.  Please register Mom's first name by sending an email to info@ballroomtime.org.  We'll have a special name tag for her and special reserved seating for those Moms who prefer not to dance but would like to socialize, listen to beautiful music, and watch their children dance by. Don't forget to bring a picnic and note that the carousel is scheduled to be open that day.

Doors open at 2:15 pm.  A beginner lesson on ballroom basics starts at 2:45 pm with a focus on May's dance of the month, the samba.  Live music plays from 3:30 to 6:00 provided by The Djangolaya Trio featuring multi-lingual vocals by Jeanine Greene.  We're planning a mixer or two, a samba line dance, and a special showcase by Helen and Larry demonstrating the Maxixe, which is a historical precursor of modern samba.  Admission is $15 at the door (Cash /Check/Zelle/Credit Card) or $5 for full-time students (Cash only).  Moms get in free if accompanied by a child of any age who pays an admission.  Many singles attend Ballroom Time events. Everyone is invited.  Children under 18 should be accompanied by an adult.
