Our January 25, 2025 Ballroom Dance 

Our special Mid-Winter Night's Dream Workshop and Dance will take place in the Ballroom Backroom on Saturday evening January 25, 2025.  There will be a 2-hour ABC's of Ballroom Dancing Workshop from 6:00 until 8:00 pm, followed by supervised practice and open dancing from 8:00 until 10 pm.

The Workshop is designed with beginner to intermediate dancers in mind, and will cover lead and follow techniques along with basic step figures that can be used across multiple dance styles.  The first hour will cover dances that move in a line of dance including waltz, foxtrot, tango, and samba.  The second hour will cover mambo, rumba, cha-cha, and bachata. More experienced dancers are encouraged to join the Workshop for brush-up practice and to help newer dancers.  We will be rotating partners, which always optional for those who dance with a preferred partner.

Following two hours of instruction there will be 2 hours of supervised practice and open dancing to recorded music from 8:00 to 10:00 pm.  Steps used in the popular samba line dance will be reviewed during the supervised practice session. There is no additional charge for the supervised practice.

Admission is $20 at the door (Cash /Check/Zelle/Credit Card) or $10 for full-time students (Cash only).  Your admission covers the entire evening including workshop and dance.

Our January 12, 2025 Ballroom Dance 

Our January ballroom dance will take place in the historic Spanish Ballroom on Sunday afternoon January 12, 2025.   We'll be playing recorded music covering a wide variety of dance styles... waltzes, foxtrots, cha-chas, rumbas, swings, bachata and more.  A beginner lesson in ballroom basics with a focus on slow waltz begins at 2:45 pm.  Music then plays from 3:30 until 6:00 pm.  During the afternoon there will be a mixer and a samba line dance or two.

Admission is $20 at the door (Cash /Check/Zelle/Venmo/Credit Card) or $10 for full-time students (Cash only). 

Many singles attend Ballroom Time events. Everyone is invited.  Children under 18 should be accompanied by an adult.
