Our November 10, 2024 Ballroom Dance  This month's Second Sunday Afternoon ballroom dance will take place in the historic Spanish Ballroom. Music will be provided by The Mike Surratt Trio, one of our most popular bands.  The Trio will be playing a selection of ballroom music including Slow Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, Quickstep, Viennese Waltz, Rumba, Cha-Cha, Swing and more.  Mike's music - delivered with the cool style that has become his signature - is a delight for ballroom dancers. A large part of the fun is having the opportunity to practice a variety of dances to live music.  A beginner lesson in ballroom basics starts at 2:45 pm with a focus on Rumba, the dance of the month.  Live music then begins at 3:30 and goes to 6:00 pm.   In addition to lots of general dancing, the afternoon will include a samba line dance or two and a mixer.  There's something for everyone - so please join us! 	Our November 24, 2024 Ballroom Dance  Our Fourth Sunday Afternoon ballroom dance will take place in the historic Spanish Ballroom. Music will be provided by the James Bazen Ballroom Band in their premier performance for Ballroom Time.  We first met James when he and his musicians impressed us with a performance at one of the summer festivals in the Park.  The Band will be playing a selection of ballroom music including Slow Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, Viennese Waltz, Rumba, Cha-Cha, Swing and more. A large part of ballroom dance fun is having the opportunity to practice a variety of dances to live music.  There will be a beginner lesson starting at 2:45 pm covering ballroom basics with a focus on Rumba,.the dance of the month.  Live music then begins at 3:30 and goes to 6:00 pm. There will be a tango showcase featuring David & Patricia followed by a mixer.  The afternoon will also feature a samba line dance or two.  Admission is $20 at the door (Cash /Check/Zelle/Credit Card), or $10 for full-time students / active-duty military.
