September 10, Ballroom Dance
Our next ballroom dance will take place in the historic Spanish Ballroom on September 10, 2023. Music will be provided by the Helmut Licht Trio. Helmut is a well-known performer in the DC-Baltimore region and his music is specially tailored with ballroom dancers in mind. With his Trio he will be making his debut performance* in the Spanish Ballroom. We're delighted - thank you, Helmut!! The Trio will be playing a selection of ballroom music: Slow Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, Quickstep, Viennese Waltz, Rumba, Cha-Cha, Samba, Mambo, Swing, Bachata, and more. A large part of the fun is having the opportunity to practice a variety of dances to live music. So please join us. There will be a beginner lesson in Bachata and Viennese Waltz taught by Annie Zhong starting at 2:30. Music by the Trio begins at 3:30 pm and goes to 6:00 pm. There will be a mixer and a line dance. A dream showcase will be performed by top amateur couple Jan and Le dancing to a Foxtrot and Quickstep medley. Admission is $15 at the door (cash, check, credit card or Zelle). No partner is required to attend Ballroom Time events. All are invited.
