On Saturday afternoon, May 10, 2025 Ballroom Time will host a two-hour ABC's Workshop followed by one hour of Supervised Practice and Open Dancing !

To help ballroom dancers prepare for our recurring Sunday dances, we are offering an ABC's Workshop in the Spanish Ballroom on Saturday afternoon May 10, 2025 from 2:30 to 4:30 pm followed by supervised practice and open dancing from 4:30 to 5:30 pm.

The Workshop is designed with beginner to intermediate dancers in mind, and will cover lead and follow techniques along with basic step figures that can be used across multiple dance styles.  The first hour will cover mambo, rumba, cha-cha, and bachata.  The second hour will cover dances that move in a line of dance including waltz, foxtrot, tango, and samba.  More experienced dancers are encouraged to join the Workshop for brush-up practice and to help newer dancers.  We will be rotating partners, which is always optional for those who dance with a preferred partner.

Following two hours of instruction there will be an hour of supervised practice and open dancing to recorded music from 9:00 to 9:30 pm. There is no additional charge for the supervised practice.

The Workshop will be taught by Ballroom Time staff Tom Hall and Min Zhang who have a combined total of over 50 years of ballroom dance experience.

Admission to the Workshop is $20 (Cash /Check/Zelle/Credit Card at the door).  Active-duty military, full-time students and enrolled Thursday evening students may take the Workshop for $10.  (Note that our next Thursday evening class series begins May 22nd.  Enroll now to receive student discounts to all of our workshop and dance events.)

No partner is required, singles are encouraged to attend. Children under 18 should be accompanied by an adult.
